A two-room, adults-only B&B in Norwich with river views, a furnished patio and a canoe guests can borrow to explore the water.
About Riverside House
Riverside House keeps a canoe on hand for guests who fancy paddling the water its garden backs onto, a small touch that sets this Norwich B&B apart from the usual city-centre stay. With just two rooms, both en-suite, it's a compact and quiet setup, run as adults-only accommodation, so it suits couples or friends after a calmer break rather than a family stop.
Days start with breakfast and can be spent in the garden, where there's a patio for sitting out, BBQ grills for cooking outdoors, and a picnic area if you'd rather eat under the trees. Rooms come with drinks provided, and free WiFi and 24 hour reception cover the practical side. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward.
Norwich's centre and its attractions are within easy reach, and the local area caters to a range of interests, with golf, fishing, cycling routes, watersports, pubs, restaurants and entertainment all nearby. It's a small, personal base with a river-facing garden at its heart, better suited to a relaxed pace than a packed itinerary.
What guests say
Goodness me, I didn’t think I could possibly ever meet owners so aggressive - but there they are at Riverside House. Lovely location, truly awful people. Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) never held so true!

Clean rooms, friendly host, convenient to shops, good wifi and local pubs and town, decent continental breakfast. Cute mini, private house with a view. Bathrooms need modernising, more electric PowerPoint for cottage and better signage, could easily miss it. No hot chocolate sachets and better if jams were individually packed due to hygiene. Bathroom radiator dusty and had cobwebs and bed is too soft and springy.

Excellent for price point with quiet restful seating at bottom of garden overlooking the river Period house with all that entails but that is its charm

One of the best places to stay while you are in Norwich. The owners are very accommodating and it makes me feel at home. The bedrooms are very ideal for getting some rest. Love the enthusiasm of the staff.
