I visited Chedworth Roman Villa in late July and was completely captivated. It is such a fascinating site - seeing the ancient ruins and the scale of what was once a grand Roman villa is truly amazing. The way the site has been preserved, especially the intricate mosaics, really brings the history to life. It’s such a peaceful and beautiful place to explore. We also really enjoyed the on-site café; it’s a lovely spot to relax after walking around the grounds. A fantastic day out!

Really enjoyed our visit here.. explore the Roman ruins and seeing the mousiac floor..it houses one of the longest mousiac floors in the UK.. so this is something special to see. The guide and the historian within are so informative about the ruins. The museum housed some of the artefacts that have been discovered in the grounds are also nicely displayed giving an insight on how the Romans lived in days gone by...

These Ancient building remains are set in a beautiful location, Phil and Kirsty would approve. The sun was shining and the house martins flew around our heads. It's amazing to think this villa was built around 1,664 year ago. National trust give out audio guides to help make the visit informative. We had ice-cream and enjoy the view in deckchairs. The roads leading to the villa are narrow so if you're in a big vehicle take care. Well worth a visit.

This villa comes in two sections one which is fully covered with the mosaics on display and a larger area which is outside that has the outlines / walls of the buildings but the mosaics are covered and not visible to preserve them. There's an audio tour that's informative of all the areas. Parking is limited and access to the site is via a narrow road. The site has a small cafe and toilets.
