Mama's Inn Boutique Guest House

Wanted somewhere to stay that was more exciting than a premiere inn or a basic chain hotel and this definitely hit the spot! 10 minute walk from really nice restaurants, bars and entertainment venues. Staff were really accommodating went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic, even when we might’ve been a bit cheeky with our requests! We stayed in the Tokyo room and was just as quirky as we hoped could tell the decor was well thought out. Was also perfectly clean and tidy and really spacious. Was shocked at first to see the low beds, but actually slept amazingly and they were really comfy! Breakfast was lovely, we didn’t realise we could ask for something different however the standard breakfast was spot on for us! And as a massive bonus the hair dryer actually worked well and wasn’t the equivalent of having a person wave a fan about at your head which is the standard for most hotels😂 Really made our stay in Nottingham extra fantastic - thank you! - Holly & Izzy

Great location, also given a fan on a hot stuffy day so much appreciated. Booking included breakfasts and having read the reviews I was really looking forward to some different choices. But there no hot breakfast offered just croissants in plastic packaging, some cereal and a few apples. You also had to get your own plates and cutlery out. When asked if they served cooked breakfasts I was told they had not offered breakfasts for 2 months? I travelled solo but no-one really spoke to me or gave a cheery welcome or hello, the staff just mostly talked amongst themselves. I stayed in the Paris room. The shower fell off the wall completely when I went to use it and the taps stayed scalding and stiff to turn back so I couldn't use the shower at all, luckily had a shallow cool bath but toiletries were almost out too so nothing to wash properly with during my one night. I did inform a member of staff that the shower had fallen off the wall when I saw someone on my way out in a room making a bed and they said they'll fix it straight away and asked was everything else ok. I then mentioned my disappointment over the breakfast too and the lady was surprised and said she thought the website had been updated. There was no one to hand my keys to so the lady took those too. Dining area looks nothing like the pics and sadly the hotel is starting to look very tired and unkept. I was disappointed as I had my eye on staying here for over a year now following the great reviews.

Just come back from stopping here on Saturday was really looking forward to it the room Vienna, decor great and added bonus of car park. Unfortunately we both had an horrendous nights sleep the room was really hot and even though we had a fan it was so noisy but on a plus side it drowned out the noise from the busy road, constant traffic, I know you can’t help the traffic but you can provide a quieter was at least,

the stay was lovely, the bedrooms were unique which we loved! the paris room in particular was beautiful. the whole lot was nice and cozy. only a 10 minute walk from the centre which is amazing, unless you’re in heels, then it’s a 20 minute walk lol. the only complaints we have is the man who owns the place was quite rude and blunt with us when he asked if we could move the car, he was also inconsiderate as we had a taxi waiting outside and said so to him so we asked if we could do it when we get back and he still made us move the car which then caused us to pay extra as the taxi was waiting a while. the woman also conned us out of £10 as we only came in 2 cars and we ended up paying £30 when it should’ve only been £20 for the parking. the bed in the paris room was quite hard and uncomfy, the showers aren’t that great either. there was also mold in one of them.
