Muthu Queens Hotel

We have just spent a lovely week at the Muthu Queens Hotel at Oban. On arrival we were told that the lift wasn’t working and our room was on the fourth floor. When we explained that I would not be able to manage four flights of stairs we were moved as soon as possible to a more accessible room. Every member of staff at this hotel went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has a stunning view of the islands and is a short walk from the centre of Oban. It was clean and the lounge and restaurant areas were nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff all seemed to enjoy their work and by the end of the week we felt like we were part of a happy family, we were sad to leave. A big thank you to the manager and all her staff, we will definitely stay at this hotel if we visit Oban again.

I stayed in this hotel whilst working away from home. The location on the waterfront is lovely, but that's where the lovely stops... I entered my room to find a small run down room with a strong damp smell. The curtains weren't wide enough to cover the window... what's the opposite of blackout curtains? because thats what these were. The TV was about the size of an Ipad, and the fit and finish of the electrics were... let's say bad DIY quality. The bed was about as comfortable as an interview with Jimmy Saville. There was ongoing works happing in the hotel with banging going on into the night, and they set the fire alarm off. If I have to stay away for work again, and it happens to be this hotel thats booked for me, I think I'll sleep in the van.

I recently stayed at Muthu Queens Hotel for a night and had a genuinely pleasant experience. The highlight for me was definitely the jacuzzi very well maintained and a great way to relax. The view from the room was also excellent, with a really nice outlook that added to the overall stay. What stood out the most, though, was the service. One of the staff members, Shankar, was exceptionally helpful and kind throughout. He went out of his way to assist whenever needed, and it made a big difference to the experience. Easily one of the best hotel staff members I’ve come across. Overall, a comfortable stay with great amenities and standout service. Would recommend.

Outstanding. Greatly hotel and the staff really makes this hotel, especially Rona and the Manager. They checked on us daily and was so helpful any questions that we had was answered. The room was amazing and the views were great as well. Traveling a lot and staying at lots of hotels, this one was the best in 10 years.
