Cineworld Brighton

My 15 year old son went to see a film today and there was a bit of difficulty due to my son not having photo id. Paul the manager was very accommodating in helping us verify my son’s age and ensuring that he did not miss the film that he’s been excited to see. Great customer service, the way it should be.

Nice place overall. My local. There is a good selection of films. Staff seem fine and the seating is good, however the screens aren’t as big as Crawley and it doesn’t have as many. Reasonably clean. Can’t believe Brighton doesn’t have an IMAX screen! Recommended if you’re in the area.

Went to see Toy Story today thinking it’s the place to be with the heatwave we are having. As we approached the cinema, saw all the front doors open which was a concerning sign. A wall of heat greeted you in the foyer and you could see all staff fanning themselves with makeshift fans. I thought, this isn’t looking great!!! I asked a member of staff if the aircon was working and his reply was no but there is cool air circulating. We took our seats and started to eat our snacks and I could feel the heat increasing as the cinema filled up with people, it was packed, we were both sweating 🥵 . We instantly thought, this is not working for us and gathered our stuff and went to see the manager to get a refund. The manager was lovely and instantly provided a refund. ****IMPORTANT****. The manager told me that the aircon/heating had been out of action for over a year and that they are in the list for it to be replaced, in real terms, they can’t afford to repair/replace it!! So if you are going to escape from the heat, it’s hotter in the cinema than it is outside!! Avoid at all cost !! And now know why it’s so cold 🥶 in the winter, there’s no heating!! I think it is disgraceful that Cineworld sell tickets without informing people that aircon/heating is not working, it should be shut down.

One word.. amazing experience.. the pound 1 ticket offer for summer holidays is just marvellous.. saw Moana 2.. situated just opposite the Hollywood bowling centre at Marina, as we enter theres food and beverage center.. nice food and drinks ks options along with very nice bundle offers and meal offers.. the cinema is neat and clean..the halls are very well lit with optimum air conditioning during summer.. the seats are quite comfortable and the screen is awesome with good sound.. overall great experience for family..
