About Constantinople
Tucked into a secluded 3.5-acre woodland in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Constantinople offers just a single pitch – ideal if you value seclusion over sociability. The site sleeps up to four, and you're free to choose your exact spot depending on whether you want sun or shade. Basic facilities include a flushing loo, hot shower and wash basin, plus somewhere to plug in a camping fridge, though be warned they're reached via steep steps so a torch is essential after dark.
Dogs aren't allowed because of the local wildlife, though you may find sheep wandering through from time to time. Campfires and barbecues are welcomed, and fallen wood can be gathered for crackling evening fires. It's all wonderfully low-key – you're largely left to your own devices – but the owners do ask you to close gates, avoid loud music and follow leave-no-trace principles. Newport village, with its shops and eateries, is just five minutes' drive when you fancy a little more company.
