Midlothian Snowsports Centre is well worth a visit if you're near to Edinburgh or travelling through. We visited for the alpine coaster experience which was a lot of fun. The cost is around £18 for three rides and the staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. There is free easy parking on site and it's an easy drive to access too. There is a cafe on site serving a good range of refreshments and lunch if you need it, and restrooms are available as you'd expect too. The overall site is in need of a little investment but it feels to me like it's improving and the investment will follow. Well worth a visit and supporting this place. Lots of fun to get had here. Recommended.

We visited Midlothian Snowsports Centre for tubing and had a fantastic time. I went with my 14-year-old and 7-year-old sisters and they both absolutely loved it. The tubing was great fun and the staff kept everything organised and running smoothly. It was exciting without feeling unsafe, and both kids were laughing the whole time. By the end they were already asking when we could come back! A brilliant activity for kids of different ages and a really fun day out. We will definitely be back.

They **rent** skiis AND snowboards. Everything is included in the price. Paid 16.50 for the first hour and we had helmet, skiis, boots and the usage of the tows. Same price for snowboarding. Each hour more is £9. I don’t even think they check, but 1/2 hours is good enough for these slopes. The centre is a very good place to learn how to ski in Edinburgh so you don’t have to fly somewhere to learn, and you can get there by bus with number 4. One of the main pain points for some friends is that they don’t want to spend a lot of money to go to France and not enjoy the first days of skiing. This is a great spot to start learning so you are ready to hit green and blue slopes once you go to an actual resort. On the other hand, I would not recommend people go snowboarding here though. You can’t use the edges in the plastic so you basically need to be doing zigzags or try turning without the weight in the edge. It’s also much worse when you fall as the terrain is definitely not soft. Reason I give 3 stars is because with very little investment you would have a very nice place. A bit of painting here and there would be great also. There is a chair lift which does not work. Boots are quite broken but I guess they are good enough for the dry slope.
