About Ewe Love Camping Pods
Climbing Blencathra is a wonderful Lake District experience, with routes suitable for various abilities (from a relatively straightforward path to a more challenging scramble along the ominously named Sharp Edge). Then again, putting your feet up with a glass of something and admiring the 828-metre peak from below is equally rewarding – especially from one of these luxurious Cumbrian pods halfway between Penrith and Keswick.
Set on a working family farm, the site feels wonderfully remote, with Fell sheep and suckler cows as your neighbours and flower-filled meadows rolling down to wildlife-rich Mosedale Beck. The locally made pods are positioned to capture those Blencathra views, each with a picnic table and barbecue outside. Inside, you'll find a double bed, ensuite bathroom and compact kitchen (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle), all kept warm by underfloor heating. French doors lock securely, and the Coast to Coast cycle trail passes nearby for those seeking fresh challenges.

What visitors say
We recently stayed at Ewe Love Glamping Pods and overall had a great experience. The location is fantastic, with amazing views and easy access to local attractions and amenities. The fire pit and BBQ area were excellent and really added to the glamping experience, especially in the evenings. There are a few things worth noting. The pod is quite compact, so space is a little tight, particularly in the bathroom which is a bit of a squeeze. There is also no hob for cooking, so meal options are somewhat limited, and you’ll need to bring your own towels. That said, these were relatively minor drawbacks compared to the positives. The setting is beautiful, the facilities provided are good, and it’s a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
