What visitors say
Great information on the history of the mining of Cornish clay. A mix of museum, cafe and outdoor exhibits. It's possible to visit the pit view to see the remnants of the pit. The site is quite hilly and paths are uneven with some steps so limited accessibility. There are toilets at the atrium and the secondary museum. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Excellent place to go and take the kids and the dog. Learn a lot about Cornish history.. very impressed. Staff were so amazing. You could spend the whole day there. Lot's to see. Fantastic.

Extremely interesting clay pottery. I really loved the history walk around the old production process, and so much of it was 'working' that it really came to life! Beautiful setting as well and friendly staff.

I have seen some big holes in my time but this one definitely takes the biscuit! Nice little museum detailing the history of mining china clay and the process behind it. The short walk up to the pit view is definitely worth it.
