What visitors say

Kevin Beecher

A fantastic beach and a perfect place for families to spend the day. The beach is very sandy with plenty of space to relax, walk, or play, and the scenery around the coastline is beautiful. It has a really welcoming and relaxed atmosphere which makes it ideal for both adults and children. One of the best features is the shallow stream flowing into the sea. The kids absolutely loved playing in it for hours, splashing around safely and building little dams and channels in the sand. It adds something extra compared to a normal beach and makes it especially good for younger children who want to paddle and play without going straight into deeper water. The beach itself was clean and well kept, and there was loads of room even when it started getting busier. The soft sand is great for sandcastles, games, and relaxing in the sun, while the sea and surrounding views make it a lovely place to unwind. Overall, this is a brilliant family friendly beach with beautiful sand, a safe and fun stream for children to enjoy, and a really pleasant atmosphere. We had a fantastic visit and would definitely come back again.

The beach is stunning! Just be careful when parking, choose the National Trust car park if you can, the Gull Rocks Inn car park has a strict automated camera enforcement for parking. We paid but accidentally input the wrong registration number as I struggled with the machine and got a fine. Totally my fault but they showed no mercy 😂

Lovely place to go for an evening stroll whilst the tide is out. Kids can splash about. The estuary whilst you sit and chill out. Beautiful scenery.

Out n about

A wonderful half kilometre, golden sand beach with easy access on foot. The sand is soft so wheeled buggies will struggle. In the peak period a small trailer cafe is on the beach selling ice creams and various hot drinks.
