Boreland Farm Cottages - The Wee Cabin

The Wee Cabin is a single-storey lodge on a sheep farm outside Kirkmichael, built on ground that slopes towards panoramic views of surrounding hills. The space is compact and open-plan: a living area with television, dining corner, and kitchen with electric cooking facilities and full-sized fridge. A double bedroom and shower room complete the layout. Everything is on one floor with step-free access to the entrance.

The cabin comes with electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi included. An external utility room (shared with another property on the farm) has a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is covered bike storage and private parking for two cars, plus a garden area with seating. The grounds attract red squirrels, deer, woodpeckers and cuckoos. A pub is within walking distance, and the village shop and café are in Kirkmichael itself. This is not a suitable property for children or smokers.

The location sits between Blairgowrie and Pitlochry, each about 12 miles away. Waymarked walking paths surround the village, and the broader Cateran Trail passes through the area. In May the Caledonian Etape cycling event draws riders regionally; autumn brings visitors to the Enchanted Forest.
