This tiny site beside the River Garry is genuinely remote – you'll ford the river to reach it, so only 4x4s, walkers and cyclists can access pitches directly (though the hosts kindly shuttle non-4x4 drivers across). That crossing sets the tone: this is semi-wild camping in a proper wildlife haven, with firepits for atmospheric evenings, a clean composting toilet, hot shower, and a handy bothy with an honesty shop stocking firewood and essentials.
The setting on the southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park is spectacular, with three lochs nearby and Tay Forest Park just south. Pitlochry's cafés and shops are 20 minutes' drive, Aberfeldy's Fair Trade boutiques 40, while Blair Castle sits a quarter-hour away. Amazing. One of the best places I've camped. It's 'wild' but does has some luxuries like toilets and a small shop with essentials. Crossing the river is great specially with children. Great location , fire pit set is is amazing. All round great experience and a great night spent. Will 100% be back. Took the drone for a quick video of the river crossing.

I managed to cross the river on my motorbike, which I feel quite proud of — definitely added to the adventure! For those who prefer a bit more adventure, there's also an optional 4x4 ferry provided by the friendly and helpful owner. The pitches are well spaced out along the river, offering a good sense of privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. The setting is beautiful and feels like a real escape into nature. I highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience!

Absolutely blown away by our stay at Dall Cottage and Camping—this place is nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hosts don’t just welcome you—they go above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care for every guest made us feel more like family than campers. The setting is stunning: nestled in nature, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. But what truly sets this place apart is the epic journey across the river in a vintage American army truck. It’s not just transport—it’s an adventure in itself! Kids and adults alike were grinning ear to ear, and it added such a unique, memorable twist to the whole experience. The campsite itself is immaculate, with everything you need right at your fingertips. The on-site shop is a gem—stocked with essentials like wood for your fire, fresh water, cans of juice, and crisps to keep everyone happy. It’s clear the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and fun. I’ve camped in many places over the years, but Dall Cottage and Camping is hands down the best. If you’re looking for a place that combines adventure, relaxation, and outstanding hospitality—this is it. Can’t wait to return!

This has to be one of my favourite sites and only found it by desperation. Really quite wonderful and a bit different it has a secure place to leave your car and you are collected by a big jeep and taken over the river to your pitch. Great facilities including small shop and shower and tranquil best description I can offer. The owners are friendly and obliging. There is a fire pit and logs if required
