Y Stabl is a stone conversion on a working farm that once served the historic Plas Cilybebyll Estate. The property occupies its own corner of a 120-acre estate shared with other holiday cottages, positioned between the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Gower Peninsula. Footpaths begin at your door—a farm trail crosses private woodland, mountain streams and pasture with views across the Welsh hills. The River Clydach runs nearby and regularly attracts heron, red kites, wild trout and squirrels.
The cottage holds 4 people across 2 bedrooms: a kingsize four-poster and two singles. Downstairs is a living room with woodburner, a kitchen/dining space with dishwasher and washer-dryer, and a separate toilet. The bathroom upstairs has a bath with shower. An enclosed garden with patio, courtyard and BBQ opens from the property. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, along with initial logs for the fire. Bike storage and on-site parking are provided.
The location works for coastal trips—the Gower lies within reach, as do the waterfall walks of the Vale of Neath and Afan Forest Park's mountain-biking trails. The National Showcaves and the Victorian seaside at Mumbles are also accessible for day visits. No smoking is permitted in the property. A stream runs through the grounds.
