Coity Bach - Ty Olwyn Bach
Powys
The Usk Valley Trail starts from the gate of this 34-acre farm in Powys, and Brecon—with its cathedral, museums, cafes and galleries—lies just five miles down the Monmouthshire canal if you're cycling. Talybont-on-Usk village has a shop, café and several food-serving pubs within easy reach. Being in the Brecon Beacons National Park and an International Dark Sky Reserve means the night sky here is genuinely dark, which matters if you've come to watch stars rather than streetlights.
Coity Bach is a shepherds hut with everything in one open-plan room: a kitchen with microwave and full-size fridge, a living and dining area, and a bedroom with a pull-out double bed. The shower room is separate. Outside, a hot tub overlooks the garden, and there's a patio with furniture and a barbecue. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included; the heating is electric. Bike storage is on site and there's parking for two cars. No smoking inside.
This is a one-bedroom property sleeping two, and it works best for couples or solo travellers looking for countryside quiet with real walking and cycling on the doorstep.
