Ysgubor Lodge

Families and groups of up to six will find Ysgubor Lodge works well for a week away or a long weekend. The whole property is yours alone—three bedrooms (a kingsize, a double, and a bunk room for children), one shower room, and everything on ground level. The open-plan living space has doors onto a patio, and an enclosed garden with furniture and a barbecue sits beyond. Electricity, heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included; the kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals rather than making do.

The lodge stands in a small private park near Llanwrin, a few miles from Machynlleth in mid-Powys. You're in a rural setting with views across the valley, but the coast is less than 25 minutes away by car if you want a change of scene. A couple of parking spaces come with the property. The accommodation suits people who want to base themselves somewhere quiet but not isolated—there's enough here to keep you occupied, and enough nearby to explore if the mood takes you. No smoking.
