About Winckley Square Residences
Winckley Square Residences occupies a Georgian townhouse in Preston's historic square, keeping a small, personal scale with only 14 rooms rather than the corridors of a larger hotel. The period character of the building sits alongside modern comforts, with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in the room, and views over the garden from parts of the property.
There's a restaurant on site along with a kitchen for guest use, free WiFi throughout, and a 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals and departures. Note that there's no parking available at the property, so those without a car, or happy to arrange parking elsewhere, will find this location easiest to enjoy.
The setting in Preston's Georgian Quarter puts guests within easy reach of parks and museums, and there are pubs, bars and restaurants nearby for evenings out, plus a golf course and other entertainment options close at hand. It's a compact, characterful base for exploring Preston on foot.

Fabulous stay at this wonderful suite. Spacious, beautiful, comfortable… just around the corner from the train station and a lovely part of town, next to a charming park. Host was fantastic - warm, helpful, accommodating… Ended up here through Storm Eowyn travel challenges but wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you!!!

We stayed in the Mulberry Room which was a very nice room, key let in coded lock. Room was very nice but right next to main entrance door to building. Unfortunately, inconsiderate people leaving from 0630 hrs were shouting and talking loudly, this happened a few times through until 0930. I would stay again as good location but would not stay in that room again

I stayed here the night before my wedding and the night of my wedding in one of the penthouse suits. The location is beautiful but the apartment itself was a little run down the cleanliness itself wasn’t too great. There was a musty smell in the hallway which I felt I had to apologise for to my bridesmaids and family who were helping me get ready on the day. the stairs are uneven which was a massive problem trying to get down all 5 flights of them in a wedding dress as there is no lift in the building. The fridge in the apartment smelled of gone off milk considering we was booked for 2 nights there was only 2 very small bottles of water and enough coffee sachets for a coffee each in the morning for one day. The tv had no signal in the lounge area the bath took 45 minutes to fill so as lovely as it was it was a pointless task. The shower was worse a very small shower couldn’t move in it. The sink in the bathroom was blocked. The heating came on automatically which is ok for winter months but not in summer we would have turned it off but the thermostat was broken the toaster was dirty and full of crumbs to someone who is gluten free with an autoimmune disorder I couldn’t even make a slice of toast without the risk of being ill so couldn’t even eat the morning of my wedding very very disappointing stay and definitely wasn’t worth the money paid. I will not recommend or return

I stayed here with my husband and it was the most wonderful stay. The room itself was stunning and carefully thought out, equipped with all the utilities that you may need. The little touches like the welcome basket and the bed arrangement made it incredibly warm and homely. I would absolutely recommend these apartments if you’re looking for a luxurious yet homely stay.
