Apartment 12 occupies the second floor of a converted carriage works in Preston's Harris Quarter, reached by 13 steps to the entrance. You walk into an open-plan living space that combines the lounge, dining and kitchen areas in one room—a double bed sits in a galleried bedroom above, while the shower room is separate. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob and microwave; heating is electric throughout, and wifi, bed linen and towels are provided.
Two people can stay here comfortably. The apartment is non-smoking. A public car park sits 350 yards away, and a pub is within a mile. Preston city centre, including shops and restaurants, is on the doorstep. From here, the Lake District is roughly an hour away by car or train, the Yorkshire Dales are within reach, and the Lancashire coast—Formby, Lytham St Annes, Cleveleys—lies about 16 miles south. The 21-mile Guild Wheel cycling and walking route circles the city, and Blackpool is half an hour's drive away.
