About Premier Inn Preston Central

Preston's city centre is a practical base for rail travel and easy access to the town's shops, pubs and restaurants, and Premier Inn Preston Central makes the most of that position on Fox Street, just a short walk from the railway station. The hotel spans four floors and has 140 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and drinks available in the room, plus accessible rooms for those who need them.

There's a restaurant and bar on site for breakfast, dinner or a drink at the end of the day, and breakfast itself is well regarded, with a good spread on offer. Rooms are generally quiet and the beds have been a particular highlight for guests, making this a solid choice for a proper night's sleep in the middle of the city. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, though service can be slow at busier times.

Parking is available nearby for a fee rather than on site, so it's worth planning ahead if you're driving. Beyond the hotel doors, the surrounding area has pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach, with golf, fishing and horse riding also available nearby for those wanting to venture a little further.

Stayed as a family of 4 for one night. Super clean room and friendly staff. We love the three bed set up. We chose this Premier for the location and air con which was lovely and cool. The room was silent (apart from my 5yr old snoring!). The main bed had USB-A and C ports either side which is great to see. Great breakfast as expected with good coffee. For less than £90 including breakfast can’t go wrong. Parking was £8.70 for 24hrs at the EuroPark behind the hotel, which had plenty of space.

The room was clean and comfortable for my stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. One minor inconvenience was that one of the bedside lights wasn't working, which wasn't a huge issue but was a bit annoying when trying to read before bed. The food was adequate, nothing spectacular, but perfectly acceptable, although the menu itself was quite limited, so options were a bit restricted if you wanted variety. I paid for ultimate WiFi but had to raise the issue when it wasn't provided. Using the WiFi was limited to 3 devices only and not all devices are supported. This was not clear at sign up. The one drawback worth flagging is parking. The hotel doesn't have its own car park, and guests are instead directed to a local Euro Car Park nearby. Unfortunately, this car park doesn't have a great reputation, and it would have been reassuring to have more confidence in where I was leaving my vehicle overnight. Overall, this was a solid stay with clean rooms and good service, let down slightly by the limited food menu and the lack of dedicated, reliable parking. Fixing the bedside light and offering a better parking solution would easily push this towards a five star experience.

Room was lovely and cool, we stayed in the middle of a heat wave, and the bed was big and comfy. Blackout curtains kept the place nice and dark for the early sunny mornings. We got breakfast during our stay and the food was hot and tasty. Would gladly recommend staying here.

On the whole, our stay was very enjoyable. There were only two pillows in the room, one hand towel, one bath towel, and an empty shower gel dispenser. So we had to go to reception to ask for more. Other than that, our room was perfectly clean and comfortable and at a comfortable temperature. We're both visually impaired and I'm a wheelchair user. At one point, we needed help to find something but the hotel I feel was understaffed and they weren't able to help us for an hour. Not the staff's fault, I do think an extra member of staff would have been beneficial for everyone. We would stay there again.
