Basic, very basic - but rooms are adequate, clean and spacious. Night manager doesn't say much or interact but the daytime receptionist is very friendly. My work books a takeaway breakfast each time they book this place for me but I've never been given it - go to the pub next door. They open at 9am and do a fantastic all-you-can-eat breakfast for a tenner and have a decent lunch and dinner menu! I wouldn't choose this hotel voluntarily if I'm honest...

Had a very pleasant stay at Travelodge Reading Whitley. The room was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. The hotel is in a convenient location and offered everything I needed for my stay. A special thank you to Kanchan, who was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional. Her excellent customer service made my stay even more enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

Had a really great stay here, stayed for 3 nights with my dog. Staff were friendly, accommodating and always happy to help They made booking super easy, provided a suitable room and made effort to make us comfortable The location is great, super quick to get into the centre, yet, at night, so quiet you can see the stars clearly Situated right next to a pub, decent roast dinner Ample parking, I think the only issue I had was there was only one plug socket I could use in the room (there's plenty of usb sockets I just didn't have one) Regarding other reviews, yes it's expected to have different types of guests, some who have children, some who are out late at night drinking, it's a hotel? Nothing too disturbing in my opinion and I can get easily irritated generally. Looking forward to staying again, definitely recommend, super great value for money

booked a room here (sat 7th March) as we had an appointment at great ormond street hospital for our son and was too far to travel back to Devon after we had finished. staff friendly and our room was very clean and also the hotel was nice and quiet
