What visitors say

Andrew Thomas

Well maintained park with a network of clearly marked footpaths, family friendly play areas and coastal views over the English Channel. Plenty of benches, toilet facilities and easy access from nearby paid parking areas make it a convenient green place to spend some time amongst green space. It's also accessible from the upper Leas via unusual landscaped cliff paths, with grottos built into the false Pulhamite "rock". The park leads out to a beach side promenade, passing brightly coloured beach huts and art installations before arriving at Folkestone Harbour, home to a striking modern apartment building and a selection of cafés and bars.

Love this beach 🏖🌊Folkestone sand gate beach, mermaid beach its long coastline, plenty of space to land and its contained with green space to take shade alongside with coastline, we keep coming back again, love the city's old part with cobblestone streets, little cosy coffee shops and restaurants and it's one and half hour drive from London 🤩🌊

A nice place to go with lovely views, easy access to the beach. Wheelchair/pushchair friendly. Flower borders looked very nice. Play ground areas were smaller than I expected. Toilets each end and in the middle of park. Parking is very expensive!

Was all pebble beach when we went there, even though some of the pictures on google showed sand. If you like a pebble beach its a nice place. Theres not alot of parking space and the car park can be very narrow, so you could try to find some street parking and then walk down. Theres some seating places just off the beach to relax in slight shade if needed. Few people were doing watersports but didn't see anywhere to rent any equipment. Had facilities like toilets aswell
