What visitors say
Great location just a mile from whitby. Bit of a walk to bus stop to get bus into town. Busses run about every half hour. Also you can get bus to Scarborough from whitby. Camp site was okay. Very clean showers etc. We parked near the farm side so it got noisy with tractor about 8 am but it is a working farm and didn't bother us as we are early risers. Great staff. Clean site . Would recommend.

Fabulous caravan site. The site was beautiful and well kept with generous pitches. The toilet block was always clean with plenty of facilities. The site is within a few minutes walk of a Spar (at the garage) which sold a good range of essentials. Also a short 20-25 minutes walk into Whitby. Plus for us was the big dog walking field which was great. Will definitely be back.

Outstanding dog walking field, lovely clean facilites, peaceful site, lovely views and fantastic helpful and friendly lady on reception. Nice pitches, well maintained site. Sadly would not return for 2 reasons. The initial main road walk to Whitby is not safe. The path is narrow and uneven with fast heavy traffic very close. It was nerve-wracking with dogs and would be frightening with small children as well as very difficult with a buggy. The lack of a shop on site didn't worry me at the time of booking but the narrow grass verge walk close to traffic makes walking to the shop a bit of a challenge. My visit was spoilt on my last day at 10:10 when the maintenance team started to move my things from next to my caravan and disconnected my hook up so they could mow the grass! When I asked them about this and explained I was packing up to leave at checkout time of 11:00 the man clearing the way for the tractor mowing was quite off-hand and I felt uncomfortable and pressurised. My little dogs were tethered outside the caravan whilst I was packing up and I was worried they were going to be run over. Speaking to another caravanner who has stayed there before it seems this is a regular occurrence. Why not make checkout 10:00 then? But if it is 11:00 please allow us to occupy pitches undisturbed until 11:00.

Lovely campsite with friendly staff, not far to Whitby. Probably 25 minutes walk downhill. Taxi back £6.50. Toilets and showers clean and warm. Only issue pressing the shower ever 10 seconds, more hooks needed especially mens. Only one hook, also shelf needed in men's showers - nowhere to put toiletries.
