Stable Lodge occupies a converted stable building in a quiet courtyard behind the historic Hoebridge, in the Scottish Borders. The renovation has opened up the interior to create unusually generous rooms for a two-bedroom property. Period details—panelling, antiques—sit alongside contemporary work from local artists and comfortable furnishings that feel lived-in rather than styled.

The ground floor holds the living space, a sociable open-plan area with two leather sofas, an armchair and a bay window seat looking onto neighbouring gardens. A cast iron stove provides focal point and warmth. The kitchen, connected by an open archway, is properly equipped for cooking: oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There's also a shower room with walk-in shower and a separate toilet on this level. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king bed, the other a double and a single day bed, accommodating up to five; a separate toilet serves the bedrooms. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included, and there is parking for one car on site.

The location puts you within reach of the River Tweed, with Melrose and the Eildon Hills across the water. No smoking inside the property.
