Faulty towers, wont be returning not a good look for local area. Definitely one of the more interesting experiences for a hotel. While we weren't expecting the Ritz, it didn't represent the photos on line. Very old tired place that will require alot of work if it is to survive in today's market. No one on reception on arrival, nice young chap soon turned up and kindly carried our bags up the flights of stairs thankfully. Room clean, sufficient space for time we were booked for, but no working light in bathroom. Room back of property so no sea view but got awful view neighbors building not pleasant. (See attached photi) Didn't have any idea of time for breakfast so just rocked up with fingers crossed. Great big diner, sea views. They did a great job considering no staff turned to cook the breakfast for guests. Family stepped in to help and did well under circumstances - super lovely people. Plenty to eat and tasty. Day 2 we got down in the hope of breakfast before checking out but unfortunately nothing happening by 8am and to go without - hard when traveling with a elderly person. New owners so still finding their feet but alot to be done if it is to survive. Definitely not returning to this place, left lasting impression for all the wrong reasons

We stayed for a night with our dog. Reception area looked impressive. Greeted by a lovely man whom showed us to our room. Deluxe double which was clean, spacious and well presented. Bed was comfortable, only noise we heard was the seagulls and their cute little babies. Breakfast was great all freshly cooked and a sausage for pup! Can’t comment on the bar as we didn’t use it but looked inviting. All in all a pleasant stay would definitely recommend.

Lovely Stay at Hotel Gracellie. I had a wonderful time at Hotel Gracellie in Shanklin. The location is perfect—just steps from the beach—and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. My room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful sea view that made mornings extra special. Charlie’s Bar was a great spot to relax in the evenings, and breakfast was tasty and filling. It’s a charming, affordable place with a laid-back vibe. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Wight.

Steve and his team made us feel welcome and did everything within their means to ensure we were comfortable and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is close to the beach, it has fantastic views as its on top of the hill. Highly recommended.
