About The Lobster Inn

The Lobster Inn suits travellers after a relaxed, no-fuss seaside stay rather than a polished country hotel weekend. Set on the High Street in Sheringham, it works well for couples, families and dog owners who want to be a short walk from the coast without paying for frills.

Rooms are straightforward and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms and accessible rooms among the options, plus free WiFi and drinks available in room. Downstairs there's a bar, a restaurant serving breakfast and meals including kids' options, and outdoor seating in the garden or picnic area for warmer days. The pub atmosphere and friendly staff are consistently mentioned as strong points, along with reasonable prices and hearty fish and chips, though the kitchen doesn't always hit the mark and standards can vary.

Sheringham itself offers walking and cycling routes nearby, along with fishing, golf and horse riding for those wanting to get out and about, plus other pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. Reception operates 24 hours, so arrival times are flexible for guests travelling from further afield.

Great pub/restaurant. So good we went twice on one holiday. There's plenty of space, split between several rooms and an outdoor section. The staff were kind and attentive (other patrons were nice too) Very good value for money, the kids menu which is an absolute steal! For just £6 they get a good sized main and a crazy dessert. They should advertise it outside with the main menu, really.

Very busy pub ( good sign) Wow the whole place is lovely. Really nice staff and works hard. The food was outstanding and tastey. Only 1 thing I'd suggest, more veg on the lamb shank. Other than that its brilliant

Very nice evening meal for two - ravioli and sausages & mash, followed by cheesecake and stiffy toffee pudding. Washed down with a couple of drinks each. Bill was c.£75 which I guess is reasonable. Very efficient and pleasant staff. Decor etc really improved since our last encounter, will return! Back again and looking at this review post dinner, can’t believe we had virtually the same and was as delicious and as pleasant as before. Really good addition is the extra welcome dogs get; their own menu, treats and a water bowl!

Popped to Sheringham on a drive out whilst on holiday. We found the lobster pub and decided to eat here. We both had fish and chips, really good, nice size portion and cooked well. Staff very friendly. Would recommend.
