Eggslut Shoreditch

We went here because of the fun name but wow were we swept away! Every single sandwich option sounded mouthwatering and it took us a good while to decide what to get. In the end I settled on portobello truffle (scrambled egg with a mushroom and truffle pate) and my fellow diner decided on a classic bacon, egg and cheese - we also grabbed some truffle hashbrowns (these were heavenly, do NOT miss out on them!). Service was friendly and the food came out very quickly, there was decent seating inside but everything was also avaliable for takeaway. Such a great find for lunches out!

A pretty cool egg-focused fast-food/brunch option. The service was very nice. The space itself is not as interesting, feels like a kebab shop, but I really liked the open kitchen - it’s a nice touch. The food is pretty good. I especially liked hash-browns - they are magnificent! The eggslut egg was fine. Need to try one of the sandwiches next time!

Eggslut is my favourite chain but today is such a disappointment. They did a promotion on UberEats and when I saw my truffle bun, I was shocked. They did a promotion by reducing the quantity within the burger. Or they forgot half. Such a rip-off. I ordered the gluten-free Portobello Truffle + caramelised onions + avocado. They forgot the caramelised onions as well. I never order food, only EggSlut. I won’t be ordering again.

Food is delicious! Positive surprise as not all the hype can keep up reality! Staff is super friendly and accommodating! The restaurant itself is nothing to complain about, clean and welcoming to the extend that concept can. Obviously with an open kitchen it’s not super quite but then again that isn’t the concept. Thanks for the great service, we will def add you to our London routine! Btw. Our 7yr old loved the hash browns more than chicken nuggets…which is only topped by my schnitzel, so a very good No. 2 overall ;)
