Santo Remedio Shoreditch

In conjunction with National Margarita Day, I was invited to some seriously tasty Mexican fun at Santo Remedio in Shoreditch The venue itself is small but cosy, and from start to finish the service was absolutely spot on. We began by sharing the Cured Seabass Ceviche and Sashimi Grade Tuna Tostadas — generous portions (thankfully!) and both packed with flavour. I’m a big fan of dishes like these and the tuna was definitely a highlight for me. Next up were the Grilled Chicken Al Pastor Tacos followed by the Prawn Tacos. Both were delicious in their own way and, luckily for me, nothing was too spicy. I genuinely can’t decide which I preferred. To finish, we had the Seasonal Tres Leches and the Mexican Dark Chocolate Ganache. The ganache was a little too rich for my taste — thankfully it wasn’t my pick! And of course, it wouldn’t be National Margarita Day without a margarita (or two). I tried the Margarita de la Casa and the Coconut Margarita — both dangerously good What I really appreciated was that we weren’t rushed at all. Each course arrived separately at the perfect pace, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and indulgent. I felt incredibly privileged and blessed to have been invited. Just a slight shame we got on the wrong bus on the way home and arrived back 1.5 hours later… but honestly, after margaritas, that one’s on us

Had a fantastic experience at Santo Remedio Shoreditch! The prawn taco and chicken taco were both packed with flavour. Everything tasted fresh A special thank you to Jessica, who looked after us so well throughout our visit. She was friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing experience at Santo Remedio Mexicano in Shoreditch! We had such a wonderful time here today. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Our waitress, Jessica, was incredibly kind, attentive and always checking if we needed anything. She gave us great recommendations too — the Spiced Mango Margarita was absolutely delicious, and for my daughter she suggested the Hibiscus Agua Fresca, which was fresh, tasty and very refreshing. We ordered several dishes, all beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients. We had the Cruded seabass Ceviche, the Sashimi grade Tuna Tostadas, and the Chorizo Quesadilla — all of them full of flavour. The quesadilla was perfectly melted and not spicy, while the ceviche and the tuna tostada had a nice little kick. We also tried the Baja Style Fish Taco, which was crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside — simply delicious. They welcomed us with fresh corn tortilla chips and homemade guacamole, along with flavourful salsas that complemented every dish. My 10-year-old daughter loved her grilled chicken al pastor taco, which they kindly prepared non-spicy for her. I tried the spicy version that the chef made for me, and it was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable — perfect for having conversations, enjoying some family time, and listening to Latin music in the background. The whole staff, including the chef, were friendly and very professional.

What an incredible experience! The pork belly tacos were absolutely the star of the show packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best tacos I’ve had. The micheladas were also fantastic and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. But what truly sets this place apart is the team. Pranav and Yoselin looked after us so well from the moment we arrived. Their warm, genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and friendly personalities made us feel so welcome throughout our visit. They weren’t just serving food, they created an experience. Great food brings people in, but exceptional customer service is what makes them come back. Pranav and Yoselin are the heartbeat of this restaurant, and they made our evening unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend this place highly enough!
