The Bothy

Built within a Victorian walled garden, The Bothy is a single-storey cottage a few miles from Shrewsbury's medieval centre. The whole property is yours alone, arranged on one level with living space, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom flowing together. A woodburner anchors the sitting area; the kitchen is fitted for proper cooking, with electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The bedroom has a king bed and built-in storage. Essentials like electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels come as standard, plus logs for the stove.

Outside, a sheltered patio with garden furniture and a barbecue looks over the owners' gardens—a genuine sun trap for an evening drink. You have parking for two cars on site. Shrewsbury itself is ringed by the River Severn and packed with listed buildings, half-timbered houses, the castle and abbey; the riverside has walking routes and a pleasure boat. The Shropshire Hills and north Wales lie within reach for longer days out. No smoking indoors, and check-in is after 15:00.
