The Ragleth is a single-storey glamping pod attached to a working gastropub in Church Stretton. The open-plan interior combines living, dining and kitchen areas, with a double bed (4ft 6in) in an adjoining bedroom and an ensuite shower room. A sofa bed in the living area provides the third sleeping space. The kitchen has a microwave, oven and grill; a smart TV and Bluetooth speaker are in the lounge. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included. Outside, a decked patio with garden furniture and an electric grill overlooks the front garden, and there is parking for two cars on site.

Being part of a gastropub means you have restaurant and bar access on your doorstep. The kitchen serves Sunday roasts alongside a varied menu that includes vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. The dining room has traditional character, often with a log burner lit. On the wider front, the pod sits within the Shropshire Hills National Landscape, with footpaths and bridleways spreading out across farmland and woodland. Pontesbury village, five minutes by car, has cafés, shops and takeaways. Shrewsbury, 30 minutes away, contains medieval architecture including Shrewsbury Abbey and Castle. This is suited to adults and teenagers (no children under 14). The property is non-smoking.

The Ragleth Inn delivered a very enjoyable experience overall. The roasted salmon with honey and soy was absolutely spot on—perfectly cooked and served in just the right portion size. The burger, however, was unfortunately undercooked and still quite red, so my partner only ate the sides. The salad also seemed a bit off, as if it had not been kept properly chilled. The desserts were delicious. Gorgeous. 🤤 That said, the extremely friendly service and the warm, welcoming, home-like atmosphere more than made up for these minor issues. Despite the small setbacks, it’s still well worth a 5-star review

The Ragleth Inn delivers an exceptional experience. I would like to commend the outstanding service and the remarkably friendly and brilliant staff. Our Sunday roast was truly superb. We also appreciated the welcoming interaction with the local patrons. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment; it sets a very high standard. It is indeed a premier destination, and I assure you, you will not be disappointed. Also little stretton. Wow.

We visited as a group of six girls for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm welcome, and the service throughout was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A special shout-out to Sam and Lee, who made us all feel so welcome and looked after us brilliantly. The food was delicious, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We would definitely recommend this pub and will certainly be back. Thanks to the whole team for making our visit so enjoyable! From Joy and the girls 🥂🍾
