About Bedford Hotel
Sidmouth's Esplanade is the natural place to stay when exploring this stretch of the Devon coast, and the Bedford Hotel occupies a spot right on it. With 40 rooms, the hotel offers straightforward comfortable accommodation for those wanting to be within easy reach of the seafront, the town and the surrounding coastline.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children. The hotel has a restaurant and bar on site, serves breakfast, and provides free WiFi throughout. A lift gives access to upper floors, and reception operates 24 hours a day. Free on-site parking is included, which is a practical advantage in a seaside town where space can be limited.
Beyond the hotel itself, the area supports walking and cycling, golf and fishing, horse riding and watersports, plus further pubs, bars and restaurants within reach. Pets are welcome, making it a workable base for those travelling with dogs. It suits guests who want an unfussy stay on the Esplanade rather than a destination hotel in its own right.
