I stayed here for a 2 day event at the Vox Conference Centre which is on the edge of the NEC. I traveled in from Birmingham International and walked directly to the hotel. Reception was polite, check in was simple. Breakfast was reasonably priced and pretty good. There was a small gym and a pool and sauna. They were not the biggest or most modern but didn't claim them to be. All of the staff very polite and helpful if required. The rooms were well equipped including having a fan. It was in the middle of a heat wave and there wasn't any air conditioning but it wasn't too bad. There was Wifi and I was able to connect my laptop to the TV in the room with a HDMI cable. The towels were excellent. Super absorbent and top quality. I will stay here again.

Stayed here whilst attending a gig at the bo pulse arena. Loads of parking at the hotel, even with a big wedding on the same time. Short walk to the gig so really handy with no messing around waiting for taxis or trains. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet for how busy the hotel was. Well certainly stay here again.

So overall my experience was good, the bar and other facilities are very very good. Usually it's difficult for me to get a milk at a bar but no issues here. Was here for a short event and the evening dinner was lovely, compliments to chef and staff who coordinated that dinner it was excellently executed and hats off to them all. A couple of downsides for me is first of all the hotel is very confusing to navigate even with the signs it took me a while to find places I needed to go to and due to the writing on the signs being on shiny plaques it was very difficult for me to read them. Second and most biggest issue for me was the room had no Aircon and the ventilation wasn't great, wasn't a fan of the bed to hard for me (but that's just personal preference). The main issue was the heat and the terrible sleep I had. Also I understand a room being nice and warm when a guest enters but having the heater at maximum so it's like walking into a sauna was not appreciated. Couldn't relax in my room after the journey as it was way to hot. Those were the reasons why I knocked of 2 stars. The breakfast was excellent and checking out easy, thanks for a good stay, I would come back assuming the room I got had Aircon.

I booked a retirement party for 40 at this venue last Saturday, and it wasn't anything less than perfect. It was a totally smooth process from the first contact until we left on the day. We had a welcome drink of prosecco and an afternoon tea each in the conservatory, which was private to us for no additional cost with a lovely courtyard area. The food was fresh and tasted wonderful and the staff filled up the tea and coffee constantly. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff offered to help out with anything we needed eg. Music & air conditioning. A shoutout to Lucy who could not be better at her job and ensured we had a wonderful time. I will definitely be recommending this venue to any who is looking to host an event. The parking was also hassle-free and was validated by reception for no cost. Incredibly friendly and professional.
