Wellesley House

We stayed at Wellesley House and overall had a really lovely experience. The house itself was beautiful, very clean, well maintained, and perfect for a family stay. The location is peaceful and quiet, with easy access to Wells and the surrounding area, which made it an excellent base for exploring. However, the “spa” facilities were disappointing. The pool was very cold (27°C), which was far too cold for children to enjoy comfortably, and the gym was not very well equipped. If you’re expecting a relaxing spa experience or a warm swim, you may be disappointed. That said, the accommodation and site itself were excellent, and I would still highly recommend staying here — just don’t book expecting a luxury spa experience.

We stayed in Mow Barton, a beautiful barn conversion with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen was very well equipped and the living area spacious. We walked the footpath to Wells and visited Bath, Street and Weston-super-Mare. We used the gym and swimming pool every morning.

I am staying at Mow Barton in Wellesley Park, Wells. I have nothing but positive things to say about our amazing experience in this beautiful 3 bedroom luxury house. It is very well equipped with a modern yet country feel. Dogs are welcome, and our accommodation is on one level, which we prefer. There is a bbq on the secluded terrace, and it’s very quiet and private. I have a young child who is thoroughly enjoying his stay, and board games are provided at the accommodation. Our room is en-suite plus a modern separate bathroom. There is a swimming pool, spa and sauna onsite, which is welcome. Just gorgeous!

Wonderful high end facility!! From electric gates, to fantastic integrated systems in house! A touch of mod-cons amid a beautiful, idyllic setting! Country isolation with 21st century necessities in a child safe environment!! A really great place to stay!!!! Highly recommended!!!!
