About Novotel Southampton

Novotel Southampton stands on West Quay Road in the heart of the city centre, close to Southampton Central station, the main WestQuay shopping centre and the cruise terminals. Its 121 rooms come with LCD TVs, minibars and 24-hour room service, and the hotel is geared towards a mix of business guests and families.

Family-friendly touches include a kids' corner, free breakfast for under-16s and pet-friendly rooms, while a fully equipped fitness centre, restaurant and bar cover the day-to-day needs of business and leisure guests alike. Ten flexible event spaces, accommodating up to 450 guests, also make it a regular choice for conferences and meetings in the city.

Its central position means most of Southampton's main attractions, from SeaCity Museum to the Bargate and old town walls, are within easy walking distance, making a car unnecessary for most of a stay.

Great hotel for location to cruise terminals. Good flat parking and easy access for disabled and buggies and children. Staff have all been very helpful. Bar on ground floor opposite reception with nice comfy seats. Lifts have been very fast to access all floors. Have used this hotel before and happy to use again. Disabled parking with 5 spaces outside hotel entrance.Rooms have separate toilets and shower facilities. 4 stars because carpet in our room was marked and could do with replacement but that was the only negative.

We took an overnight flight from the US to London, then made our way to Southampton by car. We were EXHAUSTED when we arrived at the hotel and Catherine was so compassionate and kind to us. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly, but Catherine went above and beyond. She was incredibly busy at the front desk but was also incredibly efficient and accommodating to all. She is a gem and so empathetic and kind and I am so grateful that Catherine was the one that checked us in and out. I felt like I had an old friend in a new country and that is so special. Thank you Catherine! I will be telling everyone about Catherine and Novotel! Also kudos to your chef for making me 1/2 and 1/2. You were all so kind. The room was great and we slept so well. It was nice to be able to walk to the McDonald’s or the shopping center to stretch our legs. And the port terminals were only about 10 minutes away walking. We also walked to the titanic museum and really enjoyed it. Thanks for a great stay on our first trip to the UK!

Great location for shipping cruise departures and near a TGI Friday's (walking distance) for lunch and dinner. Breakfast in the dining room was exemplary with a huge spread. Staff was courteous and helpful with warm smiles and fast service. Given 4 star for rooms because of lack of Air Conditioning.

We booked this hotel as part of our package with paultons park. On arrival everything seemed ok and friendly, we got our room and it was disgusting. Hairs all over the bathroom and toilet, food stains on floors and walls, it looked nothing like the pictures. I went back down to ask for a room change with this the gentlemen tone was different, huffing and puffing, saying there's no room, then asked me take a seat so he can sort other customers out.. waited over half hour, we haven't eaten kids were hungry tired and im being made wait.. finally got told there's another room, by this point it was really late, got to the room, and it was just as bad. Dirty, hairs, broken switches, food on carpet the pull out bed was broken with springs popping out. Its was horrific but we had no choice at this point we ordered food and just got through the night. The bath also was clogged and flooding. In the morning we wanted leave right away, I dropped something on the floor upon picking it up I came across a sex toy... a dirty disgusting sick toy, I never felt more sick or disgusted in all my life. I have 2 young children in this room also. We left and I went to complain and ask for a refund the lady that dealt with me that morning was amazing, caring, kind, very sorry and disgusted herself. She apologised so much. I am still awaiting my refund but I will be getting it as I wont let this drop. This hotel isnt 4 star it more like a 2 the room dont match the pictures. I will never go back here again The breakfast was lovely and the staff in the restaurant area thought.
