We stayed overnight before embarking on our first cruise for my birthday celebration and had an excellent stay from start to finish. We stayed in Room 709, which had a great view overlooking the City Cruise Terminal (although the windows could do with a clean), making an almost perfect start to our holiday. The room was beautifully decorated and the super king bed was incredibly comfortable. There were thoughtful touches throughout, including bottled water, tea and coffee facilities, along with full-size White Vetiver bathroom products which added a real touch of luxury to the stay. As a lovely birthday surprise, a beautiful dish of fruit was brought to the room, which was such a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful and catered for everyone, with continental options, a full English breakfast, cereals, pastries and more — a really good selection and a great way to start embarkation day, although some items could have been a tad warmer. The only slight disappointment was the Aperol Spritz at the bar, which had far too much ice, watering it down and making it feel less like an authentic Italian cocktail. A special mention to Karl on Reception for the warm welcome and outstanding customer service — friendly, professional and a real credit to the hotel. He helped make the start of our cruise holiday feel extra special. Overall, a fantastic stay and the perfect start to our cruise holiday.

Really convenient stay for a cruise as the hotel is walking distance to both cruise terminals. Feels very fresh, clean and well maintained. Lovely selection and quality of breakfast. What made the stay was the service. Such friendly and helpful staff, especially Karlu (I think!) on reception and Simi at breakfast. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Great stay before our cruise and with parking while away. Only give a 4 not a 5 because I feel a better system is needed with the volume of people checking in and out at the same time and then loitering as to early to get on cruise but no where to go. Maybe staggered checkout times depending on reason for stay? Also the three tiny lifts struggle to cope during these times, meaning elderly guests have to wait some time to get on one. However due to location and quality of everything else would stay again.

Absolutely great concierge service, Rome was clean, and when we need to store our luggage, they were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended if you are taking a cruise as it was walkable distance to the port. And they had a map of the town which we used to explore Southampton. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
