What diners say
I visited Ev Bar with a friend who frequently has meals there and treated me to lunch. The decor of the bar was very atmospheric, with portraits of Turkish life and mosaics. The dining chairs were very beautiful and there was a separate bar area with cosy seating and also outside seating. The menu was very extensive with a good variety of dishes and the food was substantial and well cooked and, reasonably priced. My lamb shank was lovely amd moist but I felt could have done with a bit more seasoning as well as the fried squid. My friend's prawns and meatball mezes were seasoned to perfection. The ice cream was quite hard in the middle due to it being icy, not creamy, and was difficult to get through, without bashing it with the spoon a few times. This did not detract from my overall experience which was good. The staff were efficient and professional and I enjoyed my time at Ev. I would definitely return to savour more delights and soak in the beautiful ambience.

We found this gem just by chance. Great selection of beers wines and spirits and none alcoholic drinks. Both the bar area and the restaurant areas spacious clean and tidy. Although it's a Sunday in mid October we're sat outside in the sunshine. Very comfortable seating all round. No traffic noise. The background music is just the right volume. We haven't eat here yet so can't rate the food. Olives very nice.

This place is a hidden gem under the arches, it's a great little hideout and perfect for either dropping in for some food, nibbles or drinks. I was surprised as thought it might be very busy and glad it was much better. The platter of food was overall great, with lots of good drink choices, nice staff and a big screen for sports. I can imagine in the summer it is a great place to go to. Keeping this one on the list for sure. Very close to Southwark tub and plenty of buses run near to hear. Lovely all around! Good value for money not too expensive either. Solid A**** LDT x

It’s conveniently located near Waterloo Station, tucked away in a green, serene spot. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while relaxing in the outdoor seating, where you can feel the gentle breeze. The atmosphere is lovely, and the Pimms, in particular, is a standout choice.
