Went for lunch, as usual the cafe was extremely busy, which I always assumed meant it would be a great experience. Unfortunately the service was slow (we asked three times for service), the food was decent but nothing special for the price (although sausage and bacon you can tell were proper butcher quality). There is a £1.50 surcharge to change fried to scrambled eggs?? Honestly I think value for money you'd be better off at other nearby venues.

Read about terrys as a must visit for a full English breakfast experience. Was my first stop post jet lag on a redeye from JFK - about a 15-20 min walk from Waterloo station. Seated right away (had a res but would have been fine to walk in on a Friday morning around 10:30am). Kind wait staff. Good sized portion. Recommend this classic establishment. Beans delicious. Food kept us full all day.

Every time we arrive in London, this is one of the first places we visit, and it has become a tradition to start our trip here with a proper English breakfast. They offer both a classic Full English and their own signature version, which includes scallops and a few unique touches that make it stand out from the standard breakfast you find elsewhere. The atmosphere is one of the things we love most. With all the antique details and cozy interior, it feels less like a restaurant and more like visiting someone's home. The place is very popular, so a queue is not uncommon, especially in the morning. Fortunately, you can wait with a coffee at the bar, which makes the experience much more pleasant. Friendly staff, consistently good food, and an atmosphere that immediately reminds us why we love London. We keep coming back, and I have a feeling this will remain our first-breakfast-in-London tradition for many years to come.

Blew us away!! My sister and I were looking for a classic English breakfast spot as we were just in London for a few days and landed on this gem! We did have to wait 30 minutes for a table as it was Sunday around noon. The host was a very sweet and charming man who was able to squeeze us in and the waitress inside was just as sweet! The cappuccino was great as were the two breakfasts we ordered. The highlight of the meal was the sticky toffee pudding!! Such a surprise and one of the better dishes we had on our entire trip!

They also highlight the warm, authentic, and traditional atmosphere, along with the friendly and attentive staff. Many recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, due to its popularity.
