What diners say
We visited for our anniversary and had a very pleasant experience overall. The service was warm, attentive and genuinely caring. The team acknowledged our anniversary with a lovely card, a personalised chocolate plaque and petit fours, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The dining room itself is beautiful and creates a special atmosphere. We ordered the nettle soup, quail salad, chicken ballotine, courgette escabeche and baba au tiramisu. Unfortunately, the food was not to our taste. The nettle soup, quail salad and chicken ballotine were all noticeably over-seasoned, with salt often dominating the flavour rather than enhancing it. The courgette escabeche was extremely acidic, with so much vinegar that it overwhelmed the courgette itself. The baba au tiramisu was enjoyable and theatrical, but for us it did not quite justify the price. There was also a small mix-up with the coffee. We asked for it to be served with dessert, but it arrived early, was taken away, the dessert then arrived sooner than expected, and we had to wait for the coffee again. The staff handled the situation professionally. The biggest disappointment was the Union coffee. The menu description sounded very promising, but both coffees lacked aroma and complexity, with bitterness being the dominant flavour. The decaf was actually better than the regular coffee, but neither cup reflected the tasting notes described on the menu. We left with fond memories of the hospitality and the occasion itself, but the food snd coffee did not quit live up to the standard set by the service and atmosphere.

I recently visited La Chapelle Galvin for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic experience. The food was exquisite, full of incredible flavours and beautifully prepared. The Sunday roast was outstanding and is something I would definitely recommend. The restaurant also ensured everything was accessible and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The service was excellent throughout, especially from Miroslava, who was engaging, polite, funny and attentive, adding a lovely personal touch to the experience. The highlight of the meal was definitely the apple tarte tatin, absolutely delicious and a must-try dessert. Overall, an amazing dining experience that I would happily recommend.

A well-deserved Michelin-star restaurant. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The service was warm, attentive and professional throughout the evening. My husband doesn’t eat fish, and the team adjusted part of the menu for him without any issue, which was a lovely touch and really appreciated. A fantastic dining experience in a beautiful setting. we’ll definitely be back.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and made sure to mention it when booking. The menu is divided into two sections: default items included in the set price, and premium options available for an extra charge. We chose the default snacks, but for the starters, mains, and desserts, we ordered a mix of both. Everything was seasoned to perfection, beautifully presented, and their homemade sauces were absolutely delicious. Although the individual portions looked a bit small at first, we were completely full by the end. The tiramisu was a massive highlight, it was served with a fun little show at our table, and the portion size was incredibly generous. The service was brilliant. The waitstaff consistently changed our plates and cutlery between courses so the flavours wouldn’t mix, which was a very thoughtful touch. They also took the time to explain every single dish they brought out to us. The restaurant itself was stunning, spotless, and had a lovely, peaceful atmosphere without any overwhelming background noise. To top it all off, they surprised us at the end with some complimentary sweets and chocolates, a candle, and a ‘Happy Birthday’ card, which was so heartwarming. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and professional. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we had a wonderful time.
