Bonnie’s Bothy
Stirling
Ancient woodland, lochs and mountain slopes define the setting here. Bonnie's Bothy stands within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park near Invertrossachs, where the landscape has drawn visitors for generations—Queen Victoria planted a tree on the estate in 1869. Deer, pine martens and otters inhabit the surrounding forest. Walking trails fan out from the property, and Ben Ledi, Ben Venue and Ben Lomond are all within reach by car. Callander, a Victorian town a short drive away, has restaurants, shops and a golf course; Gleneagles and other courses lie further afield.
The cottage is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom detached property for two people, kept entirely to yourselves. Inside, an open-plan living space centres on a wood burner. A well-equipped kitchen handles cooking, and a private decked area with seating opens to the grounds—useful for warmer days. One dog travels free. Wifi, bed linen, towels and electricity are included. No smoking indoors.
The hot tub on the terrace is the centrepiece for evening relaxation after exploring the high ground or the water. Fishing, sailing and cycling are all accessible locally. Callander also served as the setting for the original Dr Finlay's Casebook television series, should that interest you.
