West Plean House

I stayed here on the last night of my trip to Scotland and it was absolutely wonderful. I wish I had another night to stay here. The house and grounds were absolutely wonderful. The room was very clean, and service was exceptional. I had some clothing I had hand washed the night before that just was not air drying, and they threw it the machine to dry and brought it back to me folded and dry. We had an early departure time and they were very accommodating and made sure we were well fed before we left for the airport. I would absolutely stay here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If only I could give more than 5 stars!) This was, without a doubt, the best bed and breakfast I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, the host went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Hannah's warmth and attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and special. The cleanliness of the property was simply immaculate—every corner of the house sparkled. Despite the building’s age and history, it has been so beautifully maintained that you never once felt like you were “stepping back in time.” Instead, it carried all the charm of a historic property with the comfort of modern care. The furnishings were of the highest quality, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I enjoyed the best night’s sleep of my travels. In the morning, the farm-to-table breakfast was an absolute delight—fresh eggs from their chickens, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, great coffee, everything made with true care. Honestly, I could not fault a single thing about this B&B. Everything was exceptional: the host, the home, the food, and the atmosphere. It was perfection in every sense and set a new standard for what a bed and breakfast should be. If I could give this experience more than 5 stars, I would.

If your travel plans include the Stirling area, you are in great luck because staying at West Plean House is an option for you. We were fortunate to book a one-night stay at this beautiful lodging and the experience was beyond wonderful. It is very clear that the house has been loved and tended to for a long time. The room was immaculate and the beds incredibly comfortable. Breakfast, as others have noted here, was completely delicious. Our room looked out on a space with lawn and trees. A more peaceful view would be hard to find! Wishing Hannah and her family many more happy years in West Plean House!

One of our best stays during our trip in Scotland! We cannot recommend this really amazing country house and Hannah arranged everything for our stay enough. Probably the best B&B breakfast anywhere and better than many hotels we where in - plenty of fruit to start with, I'm vegan and she prepared a great warm vegan breakfast, mushroom, tomatoes, porridge,.... Very quiet, no noise at all with the window open at night. We'd not hesitate to book again, probably in a bigger room - for one night, we had the maple room which is small (as clearly advertised) for two people, for a longer stay, a larger room is probably better.
