About Travelodge Swansea Central
Travelodge Swansea Central is a six-floor budget hotel with 70 rooms on Princess Way, right in the middle of the city. It's a straightforward, no-frills base with a lift to all floors and 24-hour reception, built for practicality rather than character.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in-room, and there's an on-site bar and restaurant for meals without having to venture out. Breakfast here is generally considered good value, though some guests have found rooms a little tired and beds not always comfortable, so it suits travellers after a functional stay rather than a luxury one. Parking isn't on-site but the St David's Place multi-storey car park is a two-minute walk away, at a charge, and there's an electric vehicle charge point at the property.
The central location is the main draw, with shops, restaurants, pubs and entertainment all close by, plus fishing nearby for those wanting to venture further afield. Pets are welcome, making it a convenient option for city visits with an animal in tow.

What guests say
Recently stayed for a long weekend at Swansea Central Travelodge and overall very happy. Paid extra for a premium room on the top floor which was spacious and comfortable. Staff efficient and friendly. Only downside (which is beyond the hotel's control) is a bar across the road playing very loud music till late, so maybe request a room on the other side. Also premium wi-fi was misbehaving one evening. Otherwise very happy with stay and hope to return.

I'm afraid this hotel is a little bit average all round. The soap machine was broken in the shower, there was no mat for the bath, which was slippery. The soap machine at the basin was so aggressive, it ricocheted from the palm of my hand, straight into my eye. The drinks machine in the lobby was completely on the blink. There was one poor guy, very courteous, who was cooking the meals and managing the reception at the same time. Everything was clean and fine, but the manager needs to give the place some general t.l.c. if they want to deliver any kind of a customer experience.

Very basic Travelodge. No air con just a plug in fan yet a curious device on the wall stating they moderate room temps for environmental reasons (see photo) how? Check in was a fiasco and worrying. Given the card and 2 key cards. Got to the room, neither would work, back to reception. They were reprogrammed again using the room number written on the card, not checked on the system. Got back to the room and gained access to discover the room was already occupied. BACK to reception again. The receptionist then discovered she had allocated us the wrong room the first time. After all Travelodge have been ripped apart for you would think room security would be top priority. At breakfast the coffee machine wasn't working and by the state of the notice stuck to it, hadn't been for some time. There were no bowls put out for cereal, had to be asked for.

Booked a room with early check-in- but had to wait for the room to be ready for 50 minutes after check in time. But a complimentary G&T was a good response from the receptionist . Heatwave so room was really warm - a little fan helped a bit. A bit low water pressure in shower. Decent breakfast. Best thing with the hotel ; it’s staff
