What visitors say
A trip up to Basingstoke today for a look around the Milestones living history museum. I would say this was quite a uniquely enjoyable place. Walking around the recreation of life in the 19th and 20th century. It gets you when things that we took for granted as everyday objects are now part of a museum.........getting old 😢.The roof top cafe did a smashing big pot of tea and a great Americano. Along side our drinks ee had the carrot cake and a "we love cakes" gluten free lemon curd tart which is one of my wife's favourites. The staff are lovely, pleasant and helpful. We were in the museum for around 2 hours. We didn't use the audio guide, but I do think 2 hours was just about right to see everything. This would make a great afternoon out.

Absolutely fantastic museum! Walking through the recreated streets really feels like stepping back in time. The exhibits are beautifully presented, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and there's something for all ages to enjoy. A wonderful day out and excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

We visited on Good Friday, the trail was good and the activities for children to do at Easter were great! My children liked the sweet rations and it’s great to show them how many sweets they would have got. I do like the fact the ticket is all year around. Was quite busy and we did queue for almost everything we did. I think this is a great day out for the children and the museum is well kept and tidy! The waxworks around are really lifelike. Only thing I would say is the eating places were small. Overall it was a nice day out!

Fantastic museum. Well laid out, with clear audio guides. Interesting volunteers who bring parts of museum to life. Fully wheelchair accessible, and even the cobblestones are fun the roll over. Great cafe with a good selection of food and drink. Well worth a visit especially with a range of ages.
