About Gwesty Minffordd Hotel
Fields, mountains and the still water of Tal-y-llyn lake surround Gwesty Minffordd Hotel, tucked into one of the quieter corners of Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd. It's the kind of spot where the scenery does most of the talking, with the peaks rising close on every side and little else nearby to disturb the peace.
Inside, the hotel keeps things simple with just seven en-suite rooms, making it a small and personal base rather than a large resort. There's a restaurant and bar on site for evening meals and a drink after a day outdoors, breakfast is served each morning, and free WiFi and 24-hour reception cover the practical side of things. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, and pets are welcome for those travelling with dogs.
Beyond the front door there's horse riding nearby for those wanting to explore the surrounding hills, along with a local pub and other entertainment within reach. It suits guests who want a straightforward, no-fuss stay with the mountains and lake as the main draw rather than added extras.
