About Coed Esgair Las Blue Ridge Woods Wildcamp
Wild stays await at this 30-acre working woodland in the Dyfi Valley, where you'll need a four-wheel drive to tackle the steep 600-foot shale track to reach your pitch among the trees. Those without can book the site's shuttle service for arrival and departure. This is proper wild camping – you'll be fully self-sufficient with no water or showers, just a discreet composting toilet, multiple firepits for campfire cooking, and hammock spots scattered through the sheltered woodland.
Despite feeling wonderfully remote, you're only minutes from Machynlleth's shops and pubs, while Tywyn's surf-friendly beach is 20 minutes away. The location puts Penygader's mountain hikes, Dyfi Bike Park's trails, and local climbing routes all within easy reach. The entrance track can feel challenging (especially in wet weather), but that's precisely what keeps this corner of Powys so peacefully uncrowded – ideal for dog-friendly breaks where you're after genuine seclusion without sacrificing access to outdoor adventures.

Great little hidden gem. Perfect for us with a 4x4 and roof tent and away from people. The spot had a fire pit and the views were amazing. Tim and Anni were lovely and helpful and showed us to the site. Can’t wait to be back.

Stunning!!! My partner and I have just spent the weekend here. It's absolutely beautiful it has a lovely little river running down the side of the camp. There are different areas to camp on some having their own firepit's. Would definitely recommend if you want to be out in the wild camping. The owners are lovely so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to come again .
