£10 per person per night not £7 as you might be told if you phone! Recently travelled as a group to the site and the location is perfect for Cadair Idris, however phoning up beforehand we were told it would be £7 a night, but then were met with it being £10 once we got there. not a big deal, but the owners tone and lack of apology for their admin error did take the shine off a little. Otherwise a nice site. Toilet block is basic and no hot water for washing up (unless you nip inside to fill your washing up bowl there ;-p). Only one mens and one womens shower, not such an issue for us as the site wasn't too busy, but i can imagine in school holidays this could become a problem. Other than the cost issue the owner was very pleasent and nice to chat to. Really nice to be able to use the fire pits, but remember to bring your own wood to burn. Midges are a pain if the wind drops so bring something to deal with them. Would happily use the site again.

Owner friendly, and relaxed environment. Stayed here in our campervan for one night while spending a couple of days at the Mach Loop. We paid £30 for an electric hook-up, with the showers costing extra (around 20p for 3 minutes). Make sure you bring plenty of 20p coins, as there was no warning and we didn’t have any with us. Note there’s no signal or WiFi at the campsite. We usually don’t mind this, but it’s worth knowing in advance so you can prepare (we were travelling around making our plans the day before the next). Value for money, it’s decent if you want to stay nearby for the convenience. It’s either a long walk or a short drive to the Mach Loop, and we even had a couple of jets fly over the campsite in the morning, which was a nice bonus. However, compared to other places we stayed at during our road trip through Wales, we paid very similar prices for sites with much better shower, toilet, and overall facilities. IE heated and more luxurious blocks. So it's completely down to what you're after. One suggestion for improvement would be a light above the shower cubicle, it was too dark to see even in the late afternoon.

Lovely little campsite. Ideal for people watching the fast jets on the Mach Loop. Many aircraft fly low and fast over the site a few times a day, so not a site for those looking for a quiet site. Basic facilities: toilets, showers, washing up, freezer for camper chiller packs, Ehu if needed. B&b across 2 fields has a bar for non -residents. Hotel bar within 10 minute drive, 20 minute cycle. Friendly, helpful owner.
