The Hartland Peninsula is a quieter corner of the Devon coast, with dramatic cliffs and fishing villages nearby, yet Hawthorn sits peacefully in countryside set back from the busier beaches. This detached lodge is arranged on one floor, making it practical for families or those who prefer not to manage stairs. Two bedrooms sleep up to six: one with a double bed and ensuite shower, the other with two singles. There is a second bathroom with a bath. The living and dining space has a sofa bed, television and DVD player; the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering.
An enclosed patio wraps around two sides of the property, with garden furniture and views over the grounds. One car can park on site. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included; a travel cot is available. One well-behaved dog stays free. The lodge is non-smoking.
Woolacombe and Sandy Bay beaches are within reach by car, as are The Milky Way and The Big Sheep attractions. Clovelly's steep cobbled streets and Hartland Quay's rugged coastline warrant visits. A local shop and pub are 2½ miles away. A lake on the grounds offers fishing for those interested.
