BeWILDerwood Lake District

Minty Land soft play is a great new addition to Brockhole and a much welcomed facility for the area. Our 3 year old really enjoyed the range of play equipment. It wasn’t very obvious where it was on arrival at the car park & there were lots of other parents wandering around just as confused! We saw the sign to follow the footprints (nice idea) but as the footprints were quite small & painted in yellow they were somewhat camouflaged by leaves! Gave 4 stars rather than 5 as there is room for improvement. We’ve never been to a soft play session that is only 1 hour (usually get at least 90 minutes) as it often takes younger ones a while to settle into it/meet a friend to play with. It feels like it’s almost time to leave by the time they’ve familiarised themselves & really start to enjoy it. The short session time also makes it very expensive at £10 with £5.50 parking on top. It’s a shame there’s no local residents discount or any hot food offering at the cafe at the moment but believe these things are being addressed. A breakfast sandwich option would be ideal but even serving toast/toasted tea cakes would be welcome in the short term.

I have been going to this place for about seven years and I can’t say that it is good at all. It’s actually horrible and I’m never going back. They took away the mini golf and the ice cream the long grass made sure we couldn’t even play football about three years ago the last time I went it was such a nice place to go even though I was over the age of six now it looks like only toddlers can go ! Everything is so expensive and since the new owners took over it has become abysmal. Genuinely so upset as me and my whole family loved to go here and it has become…….. terrible. There is no bins and litter everywhere all the buildings are decrepit and miserable. WHAT A SHAME it was so nice before. Don’t go unless you want to loose hundreds to use the zip world, if you like to sit in long grass and drink £10 coffee it’s for you. I had more fun writing this review than going !

Since the new company took over this place has royally gone down hill. Absolutely rubbish which is ironic as there’s no longer anywhere to put your rubbish. If you are a 6 year old who dreams of an overpriced zip world you will have the time of your life anyone else and you will wish for that time back. You can’t even sit on the grass and enjoy an ice cream as there’s no ice cream and there is practically no grass.
