Old Chapel Music CIC

One of my sons has drumming lessons with Manni. Manni is brilliant with him, has brought him on so much and is a really calm and patient teacher. He is also amazing at helping with any drumming related queries as well (I’m sure he would be great with other queries also!). Me and my other son sit and wait for him in the reception where there is a good selection of snacks and treats. Lucas is great with him and both Lucas and Kate are so friendly and welcoming it’s like visiting friends! Can highly recommend.

Been rehearsing here for many years now on and off, we had to book a room here when another studio across town could only offer a room with a p.a. only, no kit, no bass and guitar amps. I rang up Old Chapel, spoke to Howard, he emailed me a link to their room booking service. Everything was so easy, room booking, equipment hiring and payment, all done online. I even bought an excellent envelope filter FX pedal that they had on sale in the studio shop for a really good price (pictured). If you need a rehearsal room, with equipment and excellent on site facilities & support, then I highly recommend Old Chapel Studios!

I had a fantastic experience at the Old Chapel Music Studios in Leeds, UK! The sound for all the instruments in my band (violin, piano, bass and drums) was fabulous, and they had all the equipment we needed. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating in allowing me to practice in another room before the studio I had booked was available. They even gave me an upgrade to a bigger studio for the same price because it happened to be available. The rooms are beautifully soundproofed, so we were able to rehearse different styles of music from rock to classical, and hear every instrument in the band perfectly. They had snacks and drinks available, and were genuinely kind and interested in everything we are doing musically. I live in New York, so I was also really appreciative of the great price they offer for their wonderful services. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio for anyone needing to rehearse or record, and they also have private lessons available. I’m 1000% happy with our rehearsal today, thank you Old Chapel Music Studios!

Really disappointed with a phone call I just had with someone here. I called to potentially move a booking to another day because a members wife has just gone into labour. To clarify, this was to move the booking, not cancel the booking. I was told that it was against their 48 hour policy. When I told them that this would stop us from returning as a customer, I was told that they “would lose out on the 40 quid” and “do you know how tough it is in the music industry?”. Really insensitive and condescending responses in my opinion. I then got a second call from the same person who had now spoken to the manager and confirmed that they would not move the booking but would offer me a 10% discount on another booking (that’s a £3.90 discount on a £39 booking). I refused this as I will not be booking into this place again. There are many other practice rooms in Leeds that appear to be of a higher quality than this one so I would recommend elsewhere. Especially when you get spoken to like you’re an idiot. P.s. I will say I was offered a refund if someone else booked into the same slot but this is at the mercy of the business of which I now have no faith so I would put your money somewhere you trust. Especially with how tough it is in the music industry!
