What visitors say
We visited today and had a really great time. There are so many creative, hands-on exhibits designed to teach children (and adults) —and explain how things like engines, electronic devices, and pumps actually work. The separate room with the electrical exhibits was my favorite; there’s a two-way mirror there that you simply have to try out. We also visited the LUNAR exhibit, where a man gave a very interesting talk about the Moon. There was plenty to keep the kids occupied, and we ended up spending three and a half hours there. Parking is free, and the café is open. The restrooms were a bit neglected, though. All in all, we had a wonderful day. I’d recommend it to everyone—especially for slightly older children (ages 5 and up)—as there is so much of interest to see and do. Siųsti atsiliepimą

Great day out, Bank Holiday Monday, took a friend's children 3 & 7, they had a great time with all the hands on (inside and outside) exhibits. We'd not been for years, nothing had really changed, but still great fun, there for about 5 hours (brought our own picnic lunch, plenty of outdoor and indoor picnic tables), weather was a bit unsettled but that's why we went, instead of to a local park as there is a lot to do indoors if weather bad, and can do outdoors when sun came out, which it did when we visited the 'Sun Telescope' 🔭, also had a free tour of two other telescope domes......would recommend for anyone with Year 6 or below children, although the adults had fun as well.

This is a fantastic spot for both kids and space-loving adults. We were lucky enough to have a clear night and saw Saturn’s rings and Jupiter through telescopes. It was absolutely breath-taking. Beyond the historic equipment, there are tons of hands-on science exhibits to keep the kids engaged. Highly recommend for a family night out!

Wasn't sure what to expect, we visited without any children. We had a really fun time with so many things to try. If you like finding out how things work, pressing buttons, pulling levers and playing games then this is well worth a visit. Food choices were limited but what we had was tasty. The telescope tour was fascinating and kept adults and kids interested. Plenty to do, inside and out so a great place to visit whatever the weather.
