Couples will find Windmill Barn suits them well. This single-bedroom property occupies its own space within the grounds of Windmill Hill Windmill, a Grade II* listed structure that has been painstakingly restored and now operates as a working mill open to visitors on Sunday afternoons between Easter and September. The barn itself is a compact, self-contained retreat with parking for one car and an enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue.
Inside, an open-plan ground floor combines living and dining areas with a wood burner, a television and a sound system, alongside a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs, a bedroom contains a zip-and-link super kingsize bed (which can be separated into two singles on request). The bathroom has a bath with shower and heated towel rail. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided; initial logs for the wood burner are included as well.
The location sits on high ground within '1066 Country', with views toward the Pevensey Levels National Nature Reserve and the English Channel beyond. Eastbourne is within reach, and the surrounding countryside is good for walking. The property is for adults only and not designed for children or toddlers, though a non-walking infant may sleep in a travel cot if needed.
