Elm Cottage

Elm Cottage stands on a working estate in the heart of the Wealden countryside, surrounded by rolling fields and mature woodland that guests are free to explore. The cottage is one of five set within Nutley Edge, a private retreat where lambs graze in spring and walking trails wind through the trees. Nutley village is close by for supplies and dining, with Uckfield a short drive away for supermarkets and further amenities.

The whole property is yours alone. Everything happens on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with TV and DVD player, a kitchen equipped with electric cooker and washing machine, two bedrooms (one with a double bed that can be split into singles, the other with two single beds), and a wet room with shower. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included. A decked garden area overlooks the surrounding countryside, with parking on site.

One dog is welcome and should be kept on a lead. The setting suits families wanting space to move around, or anyone seeking a quiet base for exploring Ashdown Forest nearby. Sheffield Park and Garden, a National Trust property, is within reach for a gentler day out.
