Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters cliffs are a ten-minute drive away, making this an excellent base for exploring the Sussex coast and South Downs. Eastbourne's seafront and beaches are closer still. The surrounding countryside suits walkers and cyclists, with Friston Forest and the South Downs Way nearby for longer outings.

Oak Cottage is a ground-floor property sleeping two in a kingsize bed, with a shower room and a living space that includes a kitchen for self-catering. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen and towels—are provided, along with wi-fi. An enclosed courtyard garden has sitting-out space. There is parking for one car on site, and one small to medium dog is welcome. Children under five are not suitable for this property, which has internal steps and varying floor levels.

The village of Jevington is quiet and rural. Nearby attractions include Drusilla's Zoo, Battle Abbey, and the sandy beach at Cuckmere Haven. No smoking is permitted inside.
